What We Do
MAWF organizes spay and neuter clinics by bringing in veterinarians, usually from the United States. Initially only owned cats and dogs were sterilized, since vet teams did not have the equipment or resources to reach street dogs. In January of 2006, a team led by Dr Jeff Young were able to sterilize the first street dogs. Early 2010 RAM (Remote Area Medical) visited and sterilized just short of 200 dogs. MAWF is not supported financially by the local government.
