Who We Are
MAJURO ANIMAL WELFARE FOUNDATION is a non-profit NGO established in 2004, by Caryl, a New Zealander, who lived on atoll 2003-2005. She observed the dire situation of street dogs and with
eye witness reports of dogs being violently killed
she  decided to be 'compassion in action' and set
up MAWF. No veterinarians have ever resided on Majuro.

We are a very small group of volunteers (some now
ex pats) committed to improving the life of street dogs in Majuro.

MAWF is dedicated to MAMA MIA, Caryl's adopted street dog, the first one to be sterilized
